On August 6, Changan‘s refreshed Deepal S05 was officially launched, with five trim levels available. This is a global model and already selling in multiple international markets.
The new model features upgrades to its exterior and interior, with the addition of a LiDAR sensor. The vehicle is equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with capacities of 56.12 kWh and 68.82 kWh, delivering CLTC ranges of 520km and 620km, respectively. All models come standard with 3C supercharging, capable of charging from 30% to 80% SOC in 15 minutes or less. The single-motor electric powertrain delivers 272 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 6.28 seconds.
The limited-time promotional pricing is from 115,900 yuan (16,900 USD) to 144,900 yuan (21,300 USD).


Design and Dimensions The S05 introduces “Interstellar Wing” design elements with new flowing silver decorative lines. It features “Smart Wing” headlights and is available in four body colours: Moonlight White, Flowing Silver, Sky Black, and Lunar Grey.
The exterior is characterised by frameless doors, semi-hidden mechanical door handles, and new 18-inch wheels. The vehicle’s dimensions are 4,620mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,880mm.
Interior Inside, the S05 is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K ultra-high-definition “Sunflower Screen” that can rotate up to 15° to the left or right. A 50-inch AR-HUD with adaptive brightness supports customizable layouts for lyrics, AR navigation, and mini-maps. The cockpit is powered by a 3nm automotive-grade chip and the Deepal OS 4.2 system.
Storage has been increased to 37 locations throughout the vehicle, including a 492L dual-layer rear trunk and a 159L front trunk. For audio, an optional 18-speaker sky surround sound system (7.1.4 layout) is available, offering a maximum output power of 1,280W.
Intelligence The S05 boasts a sensor suite comprising 27 high-perception components: one LiDAR, three millimetre-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 HD cameras (including dual 8-megapixel front cameras). Powered by two Horizon J6M chips delivering 256 TOPS of computing power, the vehicle supports over 90 assisted-driving functions across urban, highway, and parking scenarios.
