Zeekr opened pre-sales for the 2027 7X electric SUV in China on Thursday, with prices starting at 229,800 yuan ($34,220), refreshing its lineup with a new battery option and equipment upgrades.
The premium brand under Geely Auto (HKEX: 0175) kept the pre-sales starting price unchanged from the previous 7X. Zeekr previously said the updated model was scheduled for an official launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Customers who place orders before the official launch can pay 2,000 yuan to receive a 7,000 yuan credit under a limited-time offer, according to Zeekr's promotional materials. Display vehicles have arrived at stores nationwide.
Key changes include a 900-volt architecture across the lineup and a new 85-kWh Shendun Golden Battery, filling the capacity gap between the previous model's 75-kWh and 103-kWh packs.
The updated SUV comes in 3 variants: the rear-wheel-drive Max, rear-wheel-drive Max+ and all-wheel-drive Ultra. The Max+ offers an optional 103-kWh Qilin Battery, delivering up to 802 kilometers (498 miles) of CLTC range.
The rear-wheel-drive Max+ comes standard with an 85-kWh battery, offering 680 kilometers of CLTC range. The entry-level Max has a 75-kWh pack, while the all-wheel-drive Ultra uses a 103-kWh pack.
According to Zeekr, the 75-kWh and 85-kWh batteries both support a peak charging rate of 5.5C and can charge from 10% to 80% in 10.5 minutes. The corresponding figures for the 103-kWh battery are 6C and 10 minutes.
These charging times depend on charging infrastructure and test conditions. CLTC range also differs from real-world driving range, which is affected by weather, road conditions and vehicle usage, among other factors.
Zeekr also lists a tire-blowout stability system, RNC active noise cancellation and a CCD electromagnetic damping system as standard equipment, alongside changes to the seats, interior and exterior colors.
On the technology front, the updated model will debut version 4.1 of Geely Afari Smart Driving (G-ASD), offering features including navigation-assisted driving and parking-space-to-parking-space navigation.
The Zeekr 7X first launched in September 2024 and was updated in October 2025. The latest refresh comes about 1 year after the electric SUV's previous major update.
The 7X is a key contributor to Zeekr's sales. The model delivered 86,806 vehicles from January through September 2026, accounting for 30.10% of the brand's deliveries over the period, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Ahead of the pre-sales launch, Zeekr delivered 32,483 vehicles in October, up 51.6% year-on-year but down 12.72% from September, ending a streak of 6 consecutive monthly delivery records.
Zeekr delivered 320,887 vehicles in the first 10 months of 2026, up 94.45% year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
