| Variant | AC port | DC port | Peak DC | Fast charge | Tesla Supercharger |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Long Range (incl. Juniper) Peak ~250kW on V3+ stalls. | NACS | NACS | 250kW | 27 min(10-80%) | Native — plug and charge |
| RWD (LFP) LFP RWD peaks ~170kW. | NACS | NACS | 170kW | 25 min(10-80%) | Native — plug and charge |
Compatible public stalls: Native access to Tesla Superchargers (V3/V4). CCS networks (Electrify America, EVgo, ChargePoint) need a NACS→CCS1 adapter — bundled free on several models.
Frequently asked
My car has a CCS1 port — is it obsolete?
No. CCS1 cars still charge natively on Electrify America, EVgo and ChargePoint, and most brands now offer a NACS adapter for Superchargers. New 2025–26 models increasingly ship with native NACS — CCS1 is being phased out, not cut off.
Can non-Tesla EVs use Superchargers in North America?
Depends on the port and model year: 2025+ Ioniq 5/9, EV6/EV9, Lucid Gravity, Toyota bZ and Mercedes CLA have native NACS ports; older CCS1 cars need a NACS adapter once their brand opens access (Ford, GM, Rivian, Volvo, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia and others already have); CHAdeMO cars cannot.
Why doesn't my car reach its advertised peak power?
Peak is a best-case figure requiring a capable stall, a preconditioned battery and low state of charge — power tapers as the pack fills. 800V cars are also voltage-limited on 400V-class stalls like V3 Superchargers, often seeing roughly half their rated peak.
Why do some cars list 10-80% and others 30-80%?
Different conventions: Western makers usually quote 10-80%, Chinese makers often quote 30-80%. This tool labels the SOC window on every row — compare windows before comparing minutes.
Does cold weather slow fast charging?
Significantly. A cold-soaked battery can charge at half speed or worse until it warms up. Navigate to a fast charger so the car preconditions the pack on the way — most 2023+ EVs do this automatically when a charger is set as the destination.
Is a higher peak kW always faster in practice?
Not necessarily. What matters is the average rate across the session: a car that holds 200kW from 10-60% beats one that spikes to 350kW then drops. Peak figures are best-case numbers — compare the labelled SOC-window times instead.
